Per capita greenhouse gas emissions in Spain 1990-2020

Spain's per capita greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions saw an upward trend from 1990 to 2005. That year, GHG emissions in the country peaked at 10.13 metric tons of CO₂ equivalent per capita. Since then, figures have presented an overall decline, dropping to 5.8 metric tons of CO₂ equivalent per capita by 2020, the lowest figure recorded during the period in consideration. That same year, Spain's total GHG emissions stood at around 274.7 million metric tons of CO₂ equivalent.
