GHG emissions from land use and forest change in Brazil 1990-2020
Greenhouse gas emissions from land use changes and deforestation in Brazil amounted to nearly 998 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent in 2020. This represents an increase of roughly 24 percent compared to the previous year. In the period of consideration, figures fluctuated, peaking at over 2.1 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent in 2003.
