As of April 2022, in-person classes were the least used teaching model in schools across South Asia during the COVID-19 pandemic, averaging five weeks per school. In contrast, schools in the region conducted remote classes for 30 weeks on average. In the rest of the Asia-Pacific region, in-person classes remained the most used teaching model during this time period.
