APAC: female and male lower secondary school completion rate by country 2020

In 2020, Malaysia and the Maldives had the highest rate of female lower secondary school graduates in the Asia-Pacific region, amounting to approximately 99 percent each. Malaysia also had the highest lower secondary education completion rate among male students at over 94 percent. Cambodia recorded the lowest completion rate for both female and male students that same year.

The completion rate indicates how many persons in a given age group have completed the relevant level of education.
