Export value of rubber products in Malaysia 2017-2023
As of September 2023, the export value of rubber products from Malaysia was at nearly 15 billion Malaysian ringgit. In 2021, the total export value of processed rubber products had increased to 61.69 billion Malaysian ringgit, from 41.63 billion Malaysian ringgit the year before. The increase in export value is likely due to the global demand for surgical gloves during the COVID-19 pandemic. From 2019 to 2020, the export volume of rubber gloves from Malaysia increased to nearly 49 million metric kilograms.
