Preference for BHK type in India H1 2022, by city
According to a survey conducted in first half of 2022, 3BHK emerged as the most preferred category for property seekers across key cities of India. In Bengaluru and Chennai, the demand for 3BHK properties was the highest, with 51 percent and 48 percent of the respondents choosing this category. There has been a slight shift in consumer preference during COVID-pandemic, which has resulted in the increase in demand for bigger spaces.
