House prices worldwide declined in many countries worldwide in 2023. In the advanced economies, residential property prices fell by five percent as of the first quarter of 2023. Out of the 58 countries surveyed, a total of 16 experienced house price growth, with three (Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Greece) exceeding 10 percent. Real price growth refers to the percentage change of house prices adjusted for inflation. When comparing the nominal price change, the average house price growth was even higher.
