Variable renewable energy share South Korea 2020-2034*
The share of variable renewable energy in South Korea's energy supply was at just four percent in 2020. According to the IEA, should the country follow through successfully with its Ninth Basic Plan for Power Supply and Demand, it would put South Korea in Phase 3 of renewables integration. Phase 3 would imply that the operation pattern of the country's energy supply system would be determined by variable renewable energy.
