Total wind energy capacity in Egypt 2012-2022
As of 2022, the wind energy capacity in Egypt amounted to 1,643 megawatts. This represented an increase of roughly 0.18 percent from the preceding year. Moreover, an increase in wind energy capacity could be recognized in 2015 as well as since 2018. As of 2022, the capacity of wind energy in the country was approximately 26.4 percent of the total renewable energy capacity.
