Employees of French automotive industry 2012, by activity
In 2012, assembling and engine making was the most prominent activity in the French automotive industry, with 126,000 workers. Furthermore, some 66,000 laborers were employed by the second largest employee group, OEMs (original equipment manufacturers). That year, the automotive sector hired a total of 441,000 individuals for its ten different lines of work.
