Timing for purchasing a 5G-capable device in Japan 2021

According to a survey conducted in July 2021, almost 41 percent of respondents in Japan who did not possess a 5G-capable device stated that they would buy one when buying the next smartphone. About a quarter of the respondents stated that they wanted to do so when almost all of the usage areas in Japan are ready for 5G.
