Solar capacity under construction in Europe 2023, by select country
As of January 2023, around six gigawatts of new solar power capacity were being built in Spain – this was more than any other country in Europe. Poland trailed in second, but by a wide margin, with some 1.27 gigawatts of new solar capacity under construction. Meanwhile, the European country with the largest wind power capacity under construction was the United Kingdom, at around eight gigawatts.
