In 2021, consumers in Vietnam spent approximately 18.36 billion U.S. dollars on meat - the highest expenditure in the food category. Meanwhile, spending on bread and cereal and fish and seafood amounted to 9.6 billion U.S. dollars and 7.1 billion U.S. dollars, respectively. Overall, the consumption of food in the country reached 53 billion U.S. dollars.
