Vietnam: population share based on average consumption 2023

In 2020, 58 percent of the population in Vietnam belonged to the low-spending group, or those who spend less than 11 U.S. dollars per day, indicating a decrease from the previous decade. Meanwhile, the proportion of both the average spending group and the high average spending group steadily increased in the same period. In 2030, the share of the average spending group was forecasted to continue growing and take over the highest percentage with 57 percent.
