As of 2022, Vanguard projected global equities had the potential to generate the highest return over a 10-year investment period. U.S.-based equities were projected to provide a maximum return of 4.3 percent. The forecast 10-year return on both global and U.S.-based bonds was relatively similar with variations of just 10 basis points (BPS) or 0.1 percent between both minimum and maximum forecast values.
