Assets under management of Vanguard 1975-2022
Vanguard's total assets under management (AUM) increased more than eightfold in the decade and a half since 2005, reaching a value of 8.1 trillion U.S. dollars. While a truly staggering sum of money - larger than the GDP of countries like Japan, Germany and the U.K. - it is still over one trillion U.S. dollars less than the AUM held by BlackRock, the worlds largest asset manager.
