In 2022, over 4.1 million people were enrolled in Dual Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs) in the United States, to enroll in D-SNPs beneficiaries must be dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. Medicare Advantage plans offer extra benefits beyond the coverage of traditional Medicare. Special Needs Plans (SNPs) are Medicare Advantage plans for people with limited income or certain chronic conditions or diseases.
