Of the respondents who said that the inflation in Portugal would affect their daily transport behavior in April of 2022, 90 percent indicated that they were intending to use public transport. Meanwhile, 16 percent of respondents said that they would share journeys with family, friends, and colleagues in response to higher prices.

Responses include those respondents who indicated that they were planning to change their transport behavior due to inflation. The total sample including respondents not indicating they would change their transport behavior included 1,000 participants.

The source specifies that the total sample is representative of the population and is stratified by district, gender, age and socioeconomic levels. It has an associated maximum error of +/- 3.1 percentage points for a 95 percent confidence interval.
