Spain: BEV and PHEV sales breakdown by vehicle body type 2022
Over 70 percent of the electric vehicles sold in Spain were medium-sized cars in 2022. Medium cars were, however, less popular when looking strictly at the battery-electric sales, where they made up 55.8 percent of the sales. Small cars held nearly 36 percent of the BEV market, compared to just eight percent of the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle market.
