In Germany, owning a compact plug-in hybrid car was the most expensive compared to other fuel types in 2022. The average total cost of ownership of compact plug-in hybrid cars was around 1,139 euros that year. On the other hand, the cost was the lowest for battery-electric (BEV) cars, at an average under 1,000 euros.
