In 2022, China imported passenger electric vehicles with a total value of 7.66 billion U.S. dollars. Of this, the import value of non-plug-in hybrid electric vehicles was approximately 4.1 billion U.S. dollars and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles was 2.1 billion U.S. dollars. China is the world's largest market for electric vehicles.
