In 2021, the total number of passenger cars imported into China was about 939,109 units, a decrease of 6.1 percent compared to the previous year. Imports of SUVs and MPVs for the year were 493,464 units and 32,334 units respectivly, a decrease of 11.4 percent and 18.3 percent year-over-year.
