Spending plans for energy transition in Germany August 2023
In August 2023, the German government passed the Climate and Transformation Fund to finance energy transition investments in the country. The largest share of the budget will be allocated to boosting the energy efficiency of buildings and shifting to greener heating systems - as envisaged by the heating law proposed by the Bundestag. The national rail company, Deutsche Bahn, will receive between two and four billion euros per year.
