Patient experience among privately insured in Spain 2021, by type & stage
According to a survey conducted in May 2021, there were no significant differences in the user experience of remote and in-person medical consultations among private patients in Spain. Privately insured individuals valued more in-person interactions when consulting a doctor, for getting their test results explained, and for taking treatment decisions. Additionally, respondents reported a better experience when making a doctor's appointment remotely instead of in-person. Based on a survey carried out in 2022, approximately 91 percent of individuals who used telemedicine services during the year prior to the survey had consultations with primary care physicians
