Supplementary notes

*Carbon dioxide intensity is the ratio of CO₂ emissions from fuel combustion over Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and measures the CO₂ emitted to generate one unit of GDP. GDP is expressed at constant exchange rate (2015 U.S. dollar, using purchasing power parities). This removes the impact of inflation. CO₂ emissions cover only the emissions for fossil fuels combustion.
