Supplementary notes

According to the source, the Travel & Tourism Development Index (TTDI) measures a group of factors and policies that allow for the sustainable and resilient development of the travel and tourism industry.

The TTDI covers 117 countries and is made up of five sub-indexes: enabling environment, travel and tourism policy and enabling conditions, infrastructure, travel and tourism demand drivers, and travel and tourism sustainability.

The health and hygiene component is part of the enabling environment subindex, has six indicators and measures healthcare infrastructure, accessibility and health security, ranging from a score of one (worst) to seven (best).
