Number of people unemployed in France 1975-2022
In 2022, there were approximately 2.23 million unemployed people in France. In 2015, unemployment in the country reached its highest level since 1975, with around 3.07 million unemployed people. Moreover, no significant rise of the unemployment is noted during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, on the contrary, the number of jobless people slightly decreased between 2020 and 2021, going from around 2.39 million to 2.38 million.
