The penetration rate of 5G smartphones worldwide is forecast to dramatically increase between 2020 and 2027. In 2023, this penetration rate was 59 percent, which equals 657.6 million 5G smartphones estimated to be shipped. By 2027, the 5G smartphone penetration was forecast to reach over 82 percent.
