Preferred investment strategies of retail investors in the U.S. 2023
As of 2023, the most popular investment approach among the retail investors surveyed was thematic investing. Thematic investing is centered around identifying macro trends, such as emerging technology, and then identifying underlying investments that would benefit from these trends. Half of all investors surveyed expressed interest in thematic dividend investing. This form of thematic investment concentrates on stocks impacted by macro trends that pay regular dividends.
