Israeli residents standing trial in criminal trials in Israel 2021 by education level
In 2021, nearly 47 percent of Israeli residents who stood trial in criminal trials had a bagrut (matriculation) or high school diploma. Defendants with this level of education accounted for the largest share of those who stood trial that year. They were closely followed by those with less than a high school education, at about 41 percent. In comparison, defendants with an academic certificate accounted for 4.2 percent of defendants in criminal trials that year.
