In 2023, a majority of football fans in the United Kingdom opposed the 3pm TV blackout, with 52 percent of respondents holding this view. Meanwhile, 25 percent of respondents remained in favor of the ban which stopped domestic broadcasters from showing live football games starting at 3pm in order to encourage fans to attend the games in person.
