Japan: PFM services usage among private investors by gender 2023

In a survey conducted in 2023, around three percent of male and female investors in Japan reported using personal financial management (PFM) services. With around 17.4 percent, a higher share of male respondents was interested in utilizing the FinTech service.

The sample distribution is based on the results of the National Survey on Securities Investment (Individual Survey) conducted in FY2021, so that the overall figures reflect the actual status of securities holders in Japan in terms of gender and age.
