France level of trust in different institutions in July 2023
According to a survey conducted in July 2023, just a few days after the fatal shooting of Nahel Merzouk by a police officer in Nanterre, France, 33 percent of French respondents fully trusted the gendarmerie force, 25 percent of them also trusted the police, while only seven percent had trust in the French justice system.
