Public opinion on political leaders in Portugal 2023, by characteristic

In December 2023, Pedro Nuno Santos, currently at the head of the Socialist Party (PS), surpassed in the Portuguese public opinion the leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), Luís Montenegro, in almost all parameters. Pedro Nuno was considered the most influential of the two politicians by 52 percent of respondents, while only 26 percent mentioned Montenegro. On the other hand, the social democratic politician surpassed the socialist one when it came to honesty, as 30 percent of respondents considered Montenegro as honest, while only 25 percent did so for Pedro Nuno. It is important to emphasize that 45 percent of people did not know or did not answer this question.
