Distribution of waist circumference in South Korea 2022, by gender
In 2022, around half of all women who underwent health screenings in South Korea had a waist circumference of 75 centimeters or lower. Only about 10.5 percent of men had a comparable waist size. Among men, the most common circumference was between 80 to 89 centimeters, with about 23 percent of male patients.
