Physicians' views on why patients mistrust the U.S. health care system in 2021
In 2021, 27 percent of physicians indicated that poor communication was the main reason that contributed to patients' mistrust in the U.S. healthcare system. A further 14 percent believed that the high cost of healthcare led to mistrust in healthcare. This statistic illustrates the share of reasons physicians believed contributed to patients’ mistrust in the health care system as a whole in the U.S. in 2021.Â
