Distribution of financial inclusion in Nigeria 2023, by economic status
In 2023, the share of people in the richest 60 percent of households in Nigeria who owned a bank account was 71 percent. Overall, access to financial services reached nearly 90 percent of the population in this income group. By contrast, the share of people in the poorest 40 percent of households with access to any type of financial service was 56 percent.
