As of 2021, the age-adjusted comparative prevalence of diabetes in the Middle East and North Africa was 18.1 percent. This was a 7.1 percent increase over 2021. Although the rate is expected to continue growing in the coming years, it is forecast to increase at a slower pace than in previous decades.
