Switzerland: EPCs rating of CO2 emissions 2023

In 2023, over half of the cantonal building energy performance certificate updates in the Switzerland had a direct CO2 emissions rating of A. The share certificates updated that year and received an A rating was 59 percent. Meanwhile, 44 percent of certificates released for the first time in 2023 also had a direct CO2 emissions rating of A. These types of certificates are not mandatory in all Switzerland, as they are in other countries.
