Get in touch with us nowIn April 2024, a new global coral bleaching event was confirmed, with already 54 percent of the coral reefs worldwide being affected. This was the fourth global coral bleaching event since records started, and the second one in a decade. The previous event lasted four years, from 2014 to 2017, and affected approximately 57 percent of global coral reefs. A global bleaching event is declared when at least 12 percent of corals in every major ocean basin experience bleaching-level heat stress within a 12-month period.
