Single-family building permits U.S. 2014-2022, by region
The number of single-family housing units that were authorized by building permits in the United States from 2014 to 2022 varied per region. In the Northeastern region, nearly 59,000 building permits were issued in 2022. On the other hand, over half a million permits had been issued for single-family housing in the South of the U.S. Despite some seasonal variation, the overall number of residential building permits in the U.S. has been increasing during the past decade.
