Accommodation abroad: UK household expenses by income 2020

According to a survey conducted in the United Kingdom, households belonging to the highest ten percent gross income decile group spent the most holiday accommodations abroad in the fiscal year ending 2020. On average, households belonging to this income decile group spent 20.20 British pounds weekly.

This data shows weekly expenditure of households divided into decile groups, ranging from households with the lowest ten percent gross income up to those with the highest gross income.
¹Figures were based on fewer than 20 reporting households, hence, it should be used with extra caution.

The source added the following information: "Data collected in March 2020 may have covered changes to spending habits around the start of the first UK lockdown on 23 March, for example panic buying beforehand and reduced spending during lockdown when people were advised to stay at home and many businesses were closed. However, because of reduced data collection in the latter half of March, data may not accurately reflect the impact of lockdown on spending and the annual estimates reported in this release will not be significantly impacted."
