The largest issuers of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) in the United States, as of October 2024, was BlackRock, with a market share of almost 31 percent, based on assets under management. Vanguard and State Street followed, with market shares of 29 and 13.5 percent, respectively.
ETFs resemble mutual funds, but are traded on the stock exchange. The net assets of U.S.-based ETFs have steadily increased over the last two years.
