The average working hours for full-time workers in Scotland fell to just 32 hours a week in the first quarter of 2021, the lowest in this time period and likely a direct consequence of the societal lockdowns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. By the second quarter of 2022, this had increased to 36.2 hours per week, and was 36 hours per week in the most recent quarter.
