This statistic shows public perception on whether the UK Parliament is essential to democracy in Great Britain in 2017. It appears that 73 percent of respondents either tended to agree or strongly agreed. Of those who saw the parliament as essential to the country's democracy, 37 percent strongly agreed with the statement. By comparison, 7 percent of respondents disagreed in some form with the statement and a further 19 percent of respondents neither agreed nor disagreed.
