In 2021, the largest merger and acquisition (M&A) transaction in Croatia, was the acquisition of Frozen food business of Fortenova in Croatia by Nomad Foods (United Kingdom). Nomad Foods paid just 492 million euros for this transaction. The second largest M&A transaction in Croatia during that year was the acquisition of Crodux Derivati Dva by Petrol (Slovenia) worth 349.2 million euros.
