In Montenegro, the total value of merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions fluctuated significantly between 2011 and 2022. The total value of M&A deals amounted to 189 million euros in 2022, a dramatic increase compared to the previous year. The total value of M&A deals were highest in 2016 and 2017, amounting to approximately 392 million euros and around 417 million euros in each respective year. The value of M&A deals as of 2020 was the lowest aggregate value achieved over the past ten years.
