This statistic displays the percentage of the adult population that is making lifestyle changes to help lower risk of developing diabetes as of 2013, by selected country. In China, 42.1 percent of the adult population in urban areas were eating a low-sodium diet to help reduce diabetes risk. Over 380 million people globally currently live with diabetes, by maintaining a healthy lifestyle and diet, risk of developing diabetes can be lowered.
