Research and development spending as share of GDP in Slovakia 2000-2017 This statistic shows the gross domestic expenditure on research and development (GERD) as a percentage of the gross domestic product (GDP) of Slovakia from 2000 to 2017. Up until 2015, the GERD share rose by a total of 0.54 percentage points with a rise of 0.3 points between 2014 and 2015 alone. In 2017, the GERD declined to 0.88 percent.
