This statistic presents the share of Italian and German not-retired adults actively saving for their retirement as of 2014, listed for different age groups. While approximately 67 percent of German adults aged 30 to 49 years old were saving for retirement, only 29 percent of Italians of the same age group were making pension savings. Approximately 13 percent of Italians aged 18 to 29 years old actively saved for retirement in 2014.
